Leadership
Taleitha Williams
President & Founder
Taleitha Williams is the President and Founder of "A" Is For Appetite Food & Nutrition Services, Inc., bringing more than 25 years of hands-on experience in early childhood education and childcare leadership. Her journey in the childcare field began as a passionate provider dedicated to creating a nurturing and high-quality learning environment for young children.
Taleitha successfully owned and operated a 5-Star Family Child Care Home, later expanding her program into a Center-In-A-Residence, and eventually developing a thriving preschool program serving children ages 3–5. Through these experiences, she gained invaluable insight into the realities of operating a childcare program — from maintaining high standards of care to navigating regulations, documentation, and daily operations.
After years of serving children and families directly, Taleitha saw an opportunity to support other childcare providers on a broader scale. She incorporated the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) into her work and founded "A" Is For Appetite with a clear vision: to create a sponsoring organization that provides not only program oversight, but also meaningful technical assistance, guidance, and encouragement for childcare providers.

Taleitha often says she strives to be “the consultant I wish I had when I was a provider.” Her mission is to ensure childcare centers and homes feel supported, confident, and empowered while participating in nutrition programs that help children grow and thrive.
Outside of her professional work, Taleitha is a devoted Christian wife, mother, and proud grandmother, and she brings those same values of compassion, service, and integrity into everything she does for the childcare community.
